Encuentro Multitimbre Guitar Quartet

In September 2007 the Encuentro multitimbre guitar quartet released its first CD:"The Eagle flies alone"

All compositions by Derk van der Veen

This combination provides a unique sound which is characteristic for this quartet.

The 2 highlights on this CD are without no doubt "The Eagle flies alone" a tribute to the famous American rockband the Eagles and "Chinese lady in landscape" which imagines a tour around China with imitations of typical Chinese musical instruments.
